How to Prepare Rate Analysis for P.C.C. Work

Image
Q. Prepare Rate  analysis  for a PCC work (1:3:6). Sol n .:-              Given: -  Concrete grade = M10 (1:3:6)                                           Take = 10m 3  volume for PCC Add 52% extra for voids to get dry vol m . of Concrete. Volume of dry concrete = 1.52×10                                                    = 15.2 m 3 Quantity of cement = (15.2/(1+3+6)   ) ×1              ...

Difference between P.C.C. and R.C.C.

Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) :- It is mixture of cement, sand, aggregates & water with fixed proportion. It is known as Plain Cement Concrete.

Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) :- It is mixture of cement, sand aggregates & water with reinforced bar. It is known as Reinforced Cement Concrete.

Difference between PCC and RCC -

P.C.C.
R.C.C.
It is mixture of cement, sand, aggregates & water with fixed proportion. It is known as Plain Cement Concrete.
It is mixture of cement, sand aggregates & water with reinforced bar. It is known as Reinforced Cement Concrete.

It is strong in compression loading but weak in tensile loading.
It is very good in tensile loading as well as in compression loading.

It does not carry STEEL.
It carries STEEL.

PCC is commonly used in for Foundation work & Flooring of building.
It is used in construction of Column, Beam, Footing, Slab, Stairs & heavy structures.

It is blasts on excessive loading & in an instant without giving any warning.

It gives enough time to vacate the structure before collapse.
In PCC we can used M10, M15 etc.

In RCC work we used only Above M15 Grades of Concrete.

NOTE - For fresher students in Civil Engineering Reinforcement is not means Steel.
