Q. Prepare Rate analysis for a PCC work (1:3:6). Sol n .:- Given: - Concrete grade = M10 (1:3:6) Take = 10m 3 volume for PCC Add 52% extra for voids to get dry vol m . of Concrete. Volume of dry concrete = 1.52×10 = 15.2 m 3 Quantity of cement = (15.2/(1+3+6) ) ×1 ...
In Centre
line method, the length of Centre line is calculated & it is used for
calculating the quantities of different items. In this method, the length will
remain same for excavation in foundation, for concrete in foundation, for all
footings & for superstructure. This method is simple & rapid, but it
needs special attention & consideration at the junctions, meeting points of
the cross or partition walls etc. This method is quite simple for rectangular,
circular & polygonal buildings having no inner or cross walls.
1. Prepare
the foundation plan of given drawing write the Centre line length of each wall
in.
2. Find the
total length of Centre line of all walls.
3. Calculate
the number of junctions of cross walls each should be noted that corners of
building where two walls meet are not taken in junction & if two walls meet
at same point take n = 2 at the point.
4. For an
item calculation of length is done as below-
Length of an item = total Centre line length – n × (½ × width of
item)where
n = no. of junctions
5. Multiply
no., length, width, & depth/height to get quantity of an item.

The different types of plan are explained below- (i) Site plan (ii) Layout plan (iii) Index plan (iv) Key plan (v) Services plan. 1. Site Plan - Site plan is a general layout of the site drawn as a line diagram to a small scale along with the surrounding plots of land & adjoining roads to place the site and to represented the means of access. The orientation of the building along with the North direction is represented in the site plan. In site plan the position of sewer lines & water etc., may also be provided. Site plans are drawn to a scale of 1 cm = 5 m to 1 cm = 10 m in the working drawings. 2. Layout Plan - For a project consisting of a number of various structures, a layout i.e. the comparative positions of all the various units to be constructed land is represented to a scale generally 1 cm = 10 m to 1 cm = 20 m and is called a layout plan. This helps to form a general idea and ...
Q. Prepare Rate analysis for a RCC work with M15 grade of Concrete. Sol n .:- Given: - Concrete grade = M15 (1:2:4) Take = 10m 3 volume for RCC Add 52% extra for voids to get dry vol m . Of Concrete. Volume of dry concrete = 1.52×10 = 15.2 m 3 Quantity of cement = (15.2/(1+2+4) ) ×1 ...
